Iain Mackenzie - singer

Iain comes from a pedigree of great British jazz and big band singers. After graduating from the Guildhall School of Music, he worked with the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, the RTE Concert Orchestra, the BBC Concert Orchestra and the BBC Big Band. Iain was also the principle male vocalist for the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra, and section leader for the Ronnie Scott’s Singers - The iTones.

Iain’s voice is featured on numerous adverts, including ‘Welcome Home’, a T-Mobile advert at Terminal 5, and on a number of film soundtracks, including the British comedy ‘Grow Your Own’. He has also toured with Brendan Cole’s (‘Strictly Come Dancing’) Live and Unjudged show, and again on the Licence To Thrill show.

Iain works widely with vocal groups including Voxtet, The Magnets, The New London Jazz Voices, The Tim Whitehead group, The Kenny Wheeler Mirror Suite, and with South African jazz pianist legend, Abdullah Ibrahim. Other credits include Sandie Shaw, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Joss Stone and Mica Paris.
